After waking up at 2:30pm, PDXLAN 5.05 is officialy over.
It was a good LAN, personaly I liked 4.05 better, maybe due to the fact in the very early hours of every day it was FREEZING COLD in the expo center. Like 35-40 degrees F. Everything went smoothly. Contests ran great. Tournaments ran fine, well most of them. Some had issues, some went on too long. Both unreal tournaments went on alright, I made a mistake in one of the Deathmatch games, Or I just totaly misunderstood someone, but that was worked out alright. Call of duty went on WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER!!! I was so happy about that :).
Anyways. Not really much of a major recap. During the whole event I helped by giving out upgraded chairs to people who paid for them, helped running the hoola hoop contest, then helped out with carball servers.
Saturday I ran the UT2k4 DM tournament, the CoD:UO TDM Tournament and helped out wherever I could. The cool part of the day was when Stormtroopers came in from game crazy and just chilled out over the whole event. That was AWESOME! I have an awesome pic of me looking cool/stoned/tired/whatever you feel like, with 4 stormtroopers behind me. I might post that later.
Sunday was when we had to tear everything down. After having some fun, it was all over. Now i'm back home after waking up 39 minues ago I'm really tired as hell still. Wtf!?
It was fun, but I liked 4.05 better personaly. Has more of a "cozy" feeling to it.
