Round 1 Complete, Phase 2 completed

Objectives acheived:
*Had shitloads of phili cheese steaks
*Went to independance hall and also saw the fake liberty bell
*Took a trip up to new york
*Went to a Marc Brusard concert
*Assisted SHARE in loading up food pallets, distributing holiday boxes and other misc food items, and riding around on pallet jacks and forklifts.

We have officialy ended our first round. The second part of our round was working in Philadelphia at a food warehouse, providing help to where ever it was needed. Most of the major work was spent making food pallets, which was taking misc boxes of various food items, and stacking them 5 to 8 a piece onto a wooden pallet, to be later distributed to whichever site needed that particular order. Other jobs included various small work that needed to be done, aka taking out trash, replacing lightbulbs, making boxes, the small stuff was mainly what we did the whole period that we were up there. That pretty much describes all that we did during the whole 3 weeks we were there. For recreational activities, me and a few teammates went up to New York for a weekend, just to walk around and explore a bit. It was a little pricey for the one day we were there, but it was still fun neitherless. We saw Ground Zero, the empire state building, central park, the NBC building, FAO Schwartz, and Times Square. That was the only thing worthy of note recreational wise.

One thing is for sure though, I cant wait to get the hell out of DC Village for the next 2 weeks and fly back to Portland. My team is driving me nuts with the constant drama that never seems to leave. I've explained this to lots of people around the village as to why our team always seems to hate eachother at the end of the day, or is just particulary stressed out for no reason. This in effect seems to bring everyone as a whole, just to a bad mood. Along with that, certain "cough" teammates just bug the hell out of me, especially when they're so self centered. I could rant on and on and on about this shit forever but whats the point. I just want to get the hell out of here and get back to my old life for 2 weeks.

When I got back to the village, I was finaly able to have some alone time for the last 3 days we were there for transition period. Got to hang out with everyone that we had left 3 weeks before, saw some movies, and then as of today, 12-21-05, I am on my way back now to portland. Cant wait to get home man, get away from all the god damn drama. So now I got WoW and other games to play when i get home in a few hours.....

OH YA, THAT BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT

I NEED MONEY TO START BUILDING MY NEW COMPY :(

Currently, my computer back at home is decent all around, except I dont got PCI-E, only AGP. Stats so far are as follows

Pentium 4 3.0ghz w/HT
Asus P4P800SE mobo
1.25gb PC3200 ram, various sticks "yeah thats bad"
BFG 5900xt OC "I bolded this for a reason"

The reason thats an issue is this. Instead of having to get a new video card, I have to replace EVERYTHING listed above in order to get a new graphics card :(. Which means i'll probably have to dump $850-$1000 into a new comp when I get back. So thats gunna suck. Yeah I know I shouldn't be spending money that I make here on a new computer, but meh. What can I say.

Anyways..... Paypal link is up to the right hand side if you want to donate to the Max Grafe LAN party/New Computer fund. Any donations would rule, even a penny. I would <3 you forever.

*UPDATE*
Im finaly on my way home. This flight to phoenix will never end. My iPod is out of battery power, which sucks cause i got a lame layover. So what to do?

Hope the phoenix airport has wireless, otherwise im screwed, DCA didnt have free wireless "Which was strange...." but whatever. I'll find something to do.

In the mean time, hit me up on AIM or the Cell anytime for the next 2 weeks, i'll definately come visit

Philadelphia seems pretty cool so far. Literaly too, its pretty damn cold, but I cant complain. I love the cold, especialy when it SNOWS!!!

Our project is going well so far. Some days are more intense then others, mainly the times when we build pallets of food. We get orders for the number of boxes of individual food items that people need, and we get that number for each item we have and put them onto the pallets. Usualy its about 5 items of each item of food, which usualy means stacking a pallet with 40 boxes, weighing 5-30lbs for each individual box. So its pretty good labor.

For the last 2 to 3 days, we havent done much because we've far exceeded their expectations of us. We basicaly did next weeks work for them in 2 days, now we have nothing to do except wait around and do small tasks like clean up the warehouse and sorting equipment in the warehouse as well. So its been pretty slow as of late.

Other then work, recreation wise, it's been pretty tight. I went to a Mark Brousard concert with a few teammates, then with those same teammates, we took a day off up in New York City to walk around the city and just explore. We saw the Empire State Building, Rockafeller center, the NBC building and Ground Zero. We also went to FAO Schwartz and central park, but those were just side trips, as in we just went there as we were walking along.

So yeah, nothing else is really going on. Its usualy just the same old routine every day. Except it helps that there's free WiFi in the area, Unencrypted I might add ;), which means i'm on xFire and trillian almost every day. So chat it up with me if you can, you know my screen names!
